Operation Crackaid Photo Blog

Operation Crackaid (read the Press Release) was more of a success then we anticipated! The Crackistan Biennial was quite a crazy revelry especially in our chosen location of Humanity Plaza! I'm not really sure what drugs our board of directors were on when they chose that location to build (on second thought I do know what drugs they were on). It was quite chaotic but it went off without a hitch anyway.

The transport to Crackistan for our supplies and volunteers was given by a special in-kind donation of the Bon Bon Express Shuttle from the generous folks of Interpretive Arson.

While the ride there was uneventful, Customs was a hassle: we ended up loosing two volunteers to the customs agents. They're probably in some jail right now—I don't know.

It was a good thing that the Red Cross was there because the signs of the devastation was plainly visible. Several people were wounded and toward the end of the evening people could be found passed out all around.

We arrived early during the Crackistan Biennial celebration and started building immediately in Humanity Plaza—quickly getting the walls up, as the revelers began streaming in.

Slim Boisterstien, senior vice president of unprepared rambling pronouncements, seen here, was very instrumental in building the frame for the house.

The saw shown here was one of the objects almost confiscated by customs. We got it through, however we had to trade one of our volunteers for it. The customs agents said we could have the volunteer back when we left the country but when we asked they said they misplaced him. Eh no matter, volunteers are a dime a dozen.
